As part of the comprehensive upgrades in the Nad Al Sheba region, RTA recently inaugurated a major bridge at the intersection of Nad Al Sheba Street and Dubai–Al Ain Road. Spanning 170 metres and featuring two lanes in both directions, this bridge facilitates traffic flow between key zones such as Nad Al Sheba, Meydan, and other surrounding developments.
In addition to the new bridge, RTA has implemented significant traffic enhancements near educational institutions, including Repton School and Al Khaleej International School, which together serve around 10,000 students. These improvements include additional parking, as well as designated pick-up and drop-off zones that have led to smoother traffic conditions and enhanced road safety during peak school hours.
A notable traffic intervention was the conversion of the intersection at Latifa bint Hamdan Street and Nad Al Sheba Street into a roundabout. This change resulted in a 50% decrease in traffic delay times, contributing to better traffic flow in the vicinity.
Further boosting connectivity, RTA has also added new entry and exit points from Meydan Street into residential parts of Nad Al Sheba. This has led to a 60% reduction in travel time for residents and visitors. Enhancements in the area’s internal road infrastructure—including newly developed roads and access routes in Nad Al Sheba 1, 3, and 4—have significantly improved local connectivity and traffic efficiency.
